Today is the last day of March which is Women’s History Month. To celebrate, all week we’ve been posting interviews we’ve held with women in the manufacturing sector focused on changing the perception of women in the industry. I can only hope that the insight gained from these interviews will spark some conversations which will result in positive changes. Enjoy the last few interviews.

Read MoreFIND A WAY. Take personal responsibility for making things happen – somehow, someway. Respond to every situation by looking for how we can do it, rather than explaining why it can’t be done. Get creative and follow up everything to see that it gets completed. We get paid for results, not activity.
Read MoreBE A FANATIC ABOUT RESPONSE TIME. People expect us to respond to their questions and concerns quickly, whether it’s in person, on the phone, or by e-mail. This includes simply acknowledging that we received the question and we’re “on it,” as well as keeping those involved continuously updated on the status of outstanding issues.

Read MoreTHINK TEAM FIRST. Consider how your actions impact other team members. Be willing to step into another role or help a co-worker when that’s what’s required for success. Work together and collaborate. There’s nothing we can’t do when we work together!
Read MorePRACTICE BLAMELESS PROBLEM-SOLVING. Apply your creativity and enthusiasm to developing solutions, rather than pointing fingers or dwelling on problems. Identify lessons learned and use those lessons to strengthen the team, and to improve ourselves and our processes so we don’t make the same mistake twice. Learn from every experience.
