Spread optimism and positive energy. Demonstrate your passion by approaching every task with energy, focus, purpose, and enthusiasm.
There are few things in this world that are more contagious than your attitude! The best news about this is that you get to pick your attitude and outlook on life every day. You can choose to be upbeat, joyful and optimistic regardless of the magnitude of personal challenges you are dealing with. Sometimes it is just as straightforward as looking at a glass of water as being half full or half empty, both are accurate, but only one perspective is positive.
I love to see and work with people that are passionate! You can’t fake passion and it is so clear when you are interacting with a passionate person. The energy and enthusiasm emanating from a passionate person is also very contagious! It is just fun to be around passionate people, they can make work more enjoyable, even if the work is very challenging.
Passion is different the attitude. Attitude is a decision you get to make; passion may need to be cultivated from within. Think about the most passionate people you know on the Field Team, what do they have in common? The following traits come to mind for me:
- They have a deep rooted commitment to Field and what we stand for as a company
- They have a in-depth understanding of their roll on the Field team
- They are avid about our customers and suppliers
- They are team players
- They are very effective at communicating our value proposition to others because it is very real to them
- They are passionate about things outside of Field as well
All of these are learned skills and foundational to our overall success. The more you embrace the Fieldamentals the more “Field passionate” you can become.
