Supply Base Management
Field believes in strong partnerships with our supply base. With over 700 suppliers we do business with on an annual basis we continue to expand our commodity expertise. Field has the understanding that we are only as good as our suppliers, with this understanding we strive to build strong partnerships with exchange of information, open communication and expansion of business.
Field has an established preferred supplier listing which consists of 50 suppliers within multiple commodity groupings. Those 50 preferred suppliers represent 55% of our purchased dollars. For our preferred suppliers we send out a monthly scorecard rating them on quality, on-time delivery and service. We consider our preferred suppliers to be those suppliers we are targeting additional business towards. Quarterly we establish a supplier of the quarter and recognize them throughout our organization as well as provide a certificate and visit to the selected supplier’s facility.
