Quality Systems
Quality is the cornerstone of Field's customer-centered strategy. It is the responsibility of every member of the Field team. More than just superior product performance, Field emphasizes quality through responsive service and expert technical support. We work together as a team to continually improve our products and production process. To help us maintain the highest possible standards, our quality system defines all processes that affect quality and we ensure all team members are properly trained.
Quality is considered a competitive advantage as well as an opportunity in the marketplace. Our quality system provides us with the means by which we identify opportunities to continually improve all areas of our business.

We believe controlling the processes during the manufacturing processes is the best way to insure quality product. Our quality system defines all processes that affect the output to our customer and we ensure all team members are properly trained on these processes. Field’s corrective action team reviews all quality variances, works with team members to determine the root cause, reviews the corrective action plans and approves the preventive measures to be taken to prevent the error from reoccurring.
All Field team members are responsible for quality. Each team member is empowered to ensure that every item meets or exceeds our customers' expectations.
Our state-of-the-art computer system utilizes Radio Frequency (RF) bar code technology. Every item is inspected before it is received and a bar code label is applied to each container. The bar codes are used to track the product as it moves through the warehouse. Each customer order is scanned before it is shipped and the RF system ensures the correct items are sent to the customer.
Significant portions of our customer orders are created by scanning bar code labels at our customers' facility (FIRST System). Since these orders are created electronically, there is virtually no chance for an order entry error to occur.
Our inspection system is also state-of-the-art. N-spect is a computer based fastener inspection system designed specifically for fasteners. The system includes digital gauges fixtured to quickly and accurately measure fastener elements and offers statistical feedback to insure meeting quality expectations.
Product quality is the primary responsibility of our suppliers. We choose our suppliers carefully and measure their performance. Our incoming inspection process serves as an audit of our suppliers' quality. The system supports product that conforms to MIL SPEC and Aircraft quality requirements as well as commercial quality product.
We look at quality from all aspects of our interactions with customers, not just product quality. We measure our quality performance several ways and work together to improve process to prevent errors. Our goal is to achieve SIX SIGMA quality and develop a system that can consistently exceed our customers' expectations.
